This week focus in on what you're doing in the gym.
Choose Compounds Movements More Often.
Compound movements are the best bang for your buck in terms of building lean muscle mass- something you definitely require to lose weight & body fat.
What do I mean by compound movements? Exercises that require full body movement qualify: Push ups, Squats, Dead lifts, Bench Press, Lunge, etc.
Many people shy away from these types of exercises as they are new to the gym scene, unsure of form & technique,( or are afraid of getting injured), or spend too much time focusing on isolation exercises (bicep curls, for example only works one muscle group).
Not only will performing these exercises (properly!!) be safe and effective for you,they will also ensure you gain the strength you require to live out your everyday life.
This means you won't have to worry about your lower back hurting when playing with your kids, and being able to pick up something from off the ground, or being able to reach overhead to grab a tool or item.
